How many hours has Betty spent so far on just one aide inservice?  TWELVE. Now, multiply twelve hours by Betty's hourly salary of $18.00. Betty's organization has spent $216.00 for this inservice— for Betty's time alone.  Add the aides' time and the loss in productivity, and the costs skyrocket.
