Where Can I Take CNA Classes?
Please note that we do not offer the initial training for
certified nursing assistants. Training classes to become a CNA are offered at various healthcare facilities as well as The Red Cross and community colleges. Classes given
within the healthcare setting are usually free of charge, however, they may require your commitment to work for them when the session finishes.
Training consists of both classroom hours and "hands on" hours in which students work within the field under the supervision of nurses. During training, students will learn
all of the basic skills needed to become a CNA including:
- Infection Control--to make sure clients avoid coming into contact with hazardous or dangerous materials
- Safe transfers--to help clients move safely from one location to another
- Grooming--to assist clients dress, bathe, and maintain hygiene
- And Much, Much More
After completion of the training classes, students must pass a CNA certification exam. For more information about when and where classes are offered, please visit the website below: http://nursingassistantcentral.homestead.com/NurseAideRegistries.html
